CCT (warm/cool white) strip compatibility

Addressable CCT strips

Yes — the MagWLED-1 is compatible with addressable CCT strips (e.g. SK6812 WWA, SM16703-based CCT strips). These use the standard 3-pin data protocol and are natively supported by WLED, including the ability to mix warm and cool white per-LED.

In WLED, configure the LED type as the appropriate CCT type in Config → LED Preferences.

Non-addressable / analog CCT strips

The MagWLED-1 is designed for addressable (digital) LED strips only. Non-addressable CCT strips with two channels (warm + cool) require PWM output on separate pins, which is not the primary use case for this board. While technically possible with WLED’s analog output features using the GPIO pads, this is not an officially supported configuration.

WS2805 and 4-pin RGBCCT strips

Yes, WS2805 strips work with MagWLED-1. Despite having 4 wires, the two middle wires (the two data lines) carry identical signals — one is just a redundant backup. You only need to connect one of them.

How to connect:

  1. Use the 4-wire pigtail that came with your LED strip (instead of the 3-wire pigtail)
  2. Connect VCC, GND, and one data wire to the WAGO terminal block
  3. Leave the second (redundant) data wire unconnected — just leave it dangling

The strip will work exactly like a standard 3-pin addressable strip.
